Monifa is a trainee patent attorney in our Electronics and Engineering team. She studied Physics at the University of Sheffield before embarking on a PhD within the Materials and Condensed Matter Physics group at the University of Glasgow. There, her research focused on the deposition and spectroscopic analysis of metal-oxide thin films for applications in resistive-RAM (RRAM), an emerging non-volatile memory storage technology.
During her PhD research, as part of an international collaboration, she published work in a paper entitled “Spectroscopic Indications of Tunnel Barrier Charging as the Switching Mechanism in Memristive Devices”.
Monifa graduated with an MPhys in Physics from the University of Sheffield in 2014 and is scheduled to graduate from the University of Glasgow with a PhD in Materials and Condensed Matter Physics in 2018.
