Lawrance is a trainee patent attorney in our Electronics and Engineering department.
Lawrance graduated from the University of Cambridge with a distinction in MEng Electrical/Electronic Engineering. In his final year he focused on aspects involving semiconductors, power electronics and sensor technologies.
During his master’s research project, he investigated the effects of nitrogen doping on the electrical stability of amorphous indium gallium zinc oxide thin-film transistors (a-IGZO TFTs) for the display technology industry.
While at university, he completed internships in industries including oil/gas and high energy physics. He has also assisted research in the exploration of IP-related challenges that may arise during joint collaborations.
