Katherine is a Chartered and European patent attorney working in the Electronics team.
Katherine has experience working with multinational companies, SMEs, and individual inventors. She drafts, files, and prosecutes applications in a broad range of technical areas, and in particular in the fields of consumer electronics, domestic appliances, telecommunications, optical systems, and machinery. She regularly prosecutes applications both in Europe and overseas. In addition, Katherine has experience preparing opinions on validity and freedom-to-operate. Katherine has a particular interest in the technical areas of quantum computing, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.
Katherine graduated from Durham University with an undergraduate Masters degree in Physics. Her masters project involved investigating the variability of active galactic nuclei, focusing on broad absorption line quasars in particular. During her final year, she also studied laser physics, quantum computing, particle theory and astrophysics.
Katherine has a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London
