Jonathan is a trainee patent attorney in our Electronics and Engineering team.
Jonathan has experience of drafting and prosecuting national, European and international patent applications relating to IT and software, display systems including virtual and augmented reality technologies and imaging methods, printing devices, domestic appliances, voice control systems, and semiconductor and electrode materials. Jonathan has assisted in oral proceedings before the European Patent Office and also has experience of assisting with infringement and validity opinions and IP due diligence.
Jonathan studied Theoretical Physics at the University of Birmingham. In addition to a final year project in condensed matter physics and many particle theory seeking Luttinger Liquid phenomena in carbon nanotubes, Jonathan studied optics, semiconductor devices, quantum field theory and fluid mechanics during his degree.
Since entering the profession, Jonathan has obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London.
