We are looking forward to both exhibiting and speaking at the 2022 Space-Comm Expo, 7-8 September 2022.
The annual event held in Farnborough showcases the manufacturing supply chain for products, services and solutions supplying commercial enterprises and developments in space, with the innovative event bringing together the entire sector for two days of face to face business and networking.
Partner, Jonathan Hewett is speaking at the conference with his session, ‘To IP and beyond: Don’t let your great idea get lost in space…’ (Wednesday 7 September 2022, 11.40 – 12.10, Downstream Theatre) where he will give a brief introduction to intellectual property rights, covering their nature, purpose, and value to companies working in technology. He will give particular consideration to how these rights can be used effectively in the space sector, protecting investment in technologies which are designed to be operated far beyond the jurisdictions of terrestrial legal systems. Such technologies are often the results of joint ventures between parties in this sector, due to the range of technical contributions required to overcome the unique challenges associated with implementing innovations in space, and Jonathan will explore options available to different parties prior to embarking on such collaborations.
Jonathan will also be supported at the event with a number of our attorneys available for networking opportunities to discuss all things IP. To arrange a meeting with any of our team ahead of the expo, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
