Trainee Patent Attorney - Chemical and Life Science - London


We are looking for candidates with excellent academic background including a good degree in a Biotechnology-related discipline.

This is an ideal position for someone who does not want to go into research or industry, but would like to use their degree, and apply it to Biochemistry and Chemical work.

You will need to be articulate in both written and verbal forms as you will need to communicate clearly and concisely.  You must demonstrate an interest in law and have proven analytical abilities.  Other skills that are needed include commercial awareness and the ability and confidence to talk to clients and other professionals who may or may not share your background.

The role with involve significant amounts of direct contact with clients, patent drafting and prosecution. There will also be plenty of opportunities to handle contentious matters. The ideal candidate with therefore have excellent organisation, communications and problem solving skills.
