Becky joined Venner Shipley in 2009 and is a part-qualified patent attorney. She has been involved in filing and prosecuting patent applications, as well as assisting with IP portfolio assignments, in the fields of chemistry and pharmaceuticals. Before joining Venner Shipley, Becky worked as a patent editor for a Japanese firm which specialises in patent searching and analysis.

Education

Becky graduated from the University of Durham with a Masters degree in Chemistry. During her final year project she investigated the feasibility of using perfluorinated pyrimidine as a novel drug discovery scaffold. She then went on to study at Queen Mary, University of London for a Masters degree in the Management of Intellectual Property.
