Jae graduated from Cambridge University in 2001 with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering.
He joins Venner Shipley as a part-qualified patent attorney having completed the MSc in Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary, University of London.
Jae is also an English-qualified solicitor (non-practising) and joins us from the London office of an international law firm, where he specialised in commercial and cross-border litigation work.
As a solicitor, Jae focused on representing Korean companies with their English High Court and London arbitration cases. His experience ranges from representing a major Korean electronics company on a multi-million dollar product liability case to representing Korean software companies on their licensing agreement disputes.
Jae is a Korean national and was educated (pre-university) in Korea. He speaks fluent Korean and is always happy to communicate with clients in Korean.
