Claire is a registered UK trade mark attorney and solicitor (non-practising) specialising in brand protection and enforcement. She has been working as a trade mark attorney since 1996.
Claire trained at an established trade mark and patent firm where she learnt the client and legal skills that would form the foundation of her practice. She later moved to a leading London law firm where she obtained additional experience in the fields of litigation and corporate transactions. More recently, Claire was a director at a trade marks firm where she worked closely with the world’s largest brand consultancy and gained a deep understanding of how brands are created and how they communicate with the customer. Claire joined Venner Shipley in 2008.
Claire’s expertise covers a diverse range of industries including pharmaceutical, finance, food and drink, consumer electronics and fashion. Her experience includes both contentious and non-contentious aspects of trade mark prosecution worldwide including before the UK and Community trade mark offices.
