Julia is a solicitor (non-practising) and a part-qualified UK trade mark attorney. After qualifying as a solicitor, Julia worked for 3iplc advising on corporate transactions and investments, before moving to a leading London firm of solicitors where she provided professional support to the banking and finance teams. She joined Venner Shipley in 2007, having previously worked as a trade mark assistant at another firm of trade mark attorneys in London.

Julia specialises in trade marks and designs and, in particular, in the filing and prosecution of UK, European and International (Madrid) trade mark applications as well as other national applications in foreign jurisdictions worldwide.

Education

Julia attended Durham University in 1981 and studied for an honours degree in law. She then attended Birkbeck College, University of London and attained a Masters degree in Research in Law. In 2007, Julia was awarded a certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Brunel University.
