Diana is a Chartered and European patent attorney. She handles the drafting and prosecution of UK, European and international patent applications, with particular expertise in telecommunications and sensors. Before joining Venner Shipley LLP in September 2001, Diana worked at the UK Intellectual Property Office as an Patent Examiner, handling applications in the areas of general construction, electrical sensors and radiation sensors.
Diana also deals with applications for registered designs and she is a European design attorney.

Education
In 1992 Diana graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an honours degree in Astrophysics. She then attended University College London where she obtained a Masters degree in Spacecraft Technology & Satellite Communications. Her university projects included work on infra-red, x-ray and cosmic ray detectors. Diana was awarded a PhD from the Liverpool John Moores University Astrophysics Research Institute for research in observational cosmology. She also holds a certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
