Alex is a Chartered and European patent attorney, specialising in mechanical and electromechanical inventions, and has particular experience in the fields of manufacturing, medical devices, image reproduction technology and aerospace technology.

Alex is experienced in providing his clients with practical and commercially-focussed patent advice, with clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to large multi-national corporations. Alex has extensive patent drafting and prosecution experience before the UK and European patent offices, including oral proceedings at the European Patent Office, as well as experience advising on patent validity and infringement.  Alex also regularly attends international patent conferences.

Alex is also a European Design Attorney and has extensive experience of advising on the protection of designs and dealing with registered design applications in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

Education

In 1998 Alex attended the University of Manchester where he completed his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Systems before attending Queen Mary, University of London and completing a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law in January 2003.
