San Marino joins the EPC

San Marino recently acceded to the European Patent Convention and is automatically designated for all European patent applications filed on or after 1 July 2009. It is not possible to designate San Marino on European patent applications filed prior to that date.
Following this most recent accession, a European patent application can now designate 36 contracting states and up to 3 extension states.
