Warning - Community Trade Mark Filing Service

A number of our clients have received letters from a business calling itself Community Trade Mark Filing Service.  The letter is accompanied by a document which looks like an invoice.  Please note that you are not obliged to pay this "invoice".  From the letters we have seen, payment of the "invoice" simply covers the preparation of a document which may be suitable for filing with the Community trade marks office in order to apply for a Community trade mark.  The payment does not cover the actual filing or payment of the official fee.

If we handle your trade mark matters and you receive a demand for payment from any entity other than us, it is very likely that you do not need to pay it.  Please check with us first if you are unsure about any request for payment in relation to your trade marks.
