San Marino accedes to the EPC
San Marino will become the 36th member state of the EPO this summer. European patent applications filed on or after 1 July 2009 will automatically designate San Marino.
It will not be possible to add San Marino as a designated state for an existing application. However, applications filed during June 2009 can be post-dated to 1 July 2009, if required, in order to include the new member state.
