Matthew graduated from Oxford University with a Masters degree in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry. During his PhD at University College, London, he investigated intracellular signalling pathways regulating the morphology and survival of dendritic cells, and developed a novel assay for the quantification of endocytic capacity. Matt subsequently worked as a postdoctoral scientist at the MRC's National Institute for Medical Research, investigating the Nf-kappaB signalling pathway in macrophages using transgenic models. He now specialises in the filing and prosecution of patent applications in the field of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
