Kate is a registered UK trade mark attorney and solicitor (non-practising). She has been working in the trade mark and design prosecution and related intellectual property area since March 1995.

After graduating from Cambridge with a degree in Natural Sciences, Kate qualified as a solicitor with leading city law firm Linklaters where she gained experience of all aspects of intellectual property law. She soon started specialising in trade mark prosecution and decided to move to a specialist patent and trade mark attorney firm where she could concentrate on this speciality.

She has significant experience of managing trade mark portfolios, giving strategic advice, handling pre-litigation correspondence and settlement negotiations, as well as dealing with prosecution, both straight forward and contentious, of UK and Community trade marks and designs and International trade marks.

Kate is a contributor to The Community Trade Mark Handbook published by Sweet & Maxwell.
