Erica graduated from Oxford University with a Masters degree in Chemistry and has a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London. Erica is a European Patent Attorney and Chartered Patent Attorney. As part of her degree, she conducted research into the oxidation of small linear alkanes by genetically engineered cytochrome P450cam, using various techniques in molecular biology. Erica has also worked in a pharmaceutical laboratory conducting stability tests on consumer health care products and pharmaceuticals supplied in unit dose vials, such as bronchodilators for treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She now specialises in the filing and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of chemistry, chemical physics, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
