Ed is a registered UK Trade Mark Attorney and an authorised representative at the European Community Trade Mark Office at the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM). He specialises in the filing and prosecution of Trade Mark applications in the UK, at OHIM and overseas including filing applications via the Madrid Protocol system. He has wide experience of all levels of the Trade Mark registration process, including matters appealed to the European Court of First Instance. He has handled Trade Mark cases nationally and internationally for a wide and varied range of domestic and multinational companies, dealing with all aspects of Trade Mark clearance, maintenance, exploitation and enforcement. He is an honours graduate of the University of Birmingham in archaeology, and has previously worked for leading intellectual property law firms in Paris, France and Washington D.C., USA.
Ed is a member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA), the International Trade Mark Association (INTA), the Association of European Trade Mark Owners (MARQUES), and Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group (PTMG) and frequently attends domestic and international meetings
