Allie graduated from Oxford University with an honours degree in Chemistry and obtained a DPhil in Organic Chemistry, also from Oxford University. For her doctoral research, she developed a new methodology for the enantiospecific synthesis of alpha,alpha-disubstituted alpha-amino acids via 2-ferrocenyl-oxazolidin-5-ones. She is a Chartered and European Patent Attorney and a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Allie specialises in all types of chemical subject matter, including pharmaceuticals, small molecule medicinal chemistry, formulation chemistry, drug delivery, diagnostics and therapeutics, antisense technology, transdermal patches, medical devices, synthetic chemistry, chiral chemistry, polymer chemistry, films and fibres, materials, and process chemistry. Allie has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting British, European and international patent applications, as well as in patent prosecution in other countries using local attorneys. She regularly advises her clients on infringement and validity in the UK and represents her clients in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office.
